The goal of this degree option is to prepare health educators to teach in public or private schools, grades 6-12. The curricula provides a broad background in the basic sciences and in professional education. Option I, allows students to become certified to teach only Health. Option II allows students to become certified to teach health with a second teaching field. Each student completes appropriate course work in academic foundations and professional education. The student also completes a full semester of student teaching in a school setting.
